All of the outfits in Matilda’s Portmanteau are crafted by me, working out of my home, and mostly with the bales of scrap materiel, trims, lace and buttons left over from four decades of home-sewing. My daughter suggested that I begin doing American Girl doll clothes for various local craft fairs and markets which she participates in … and well, sewing is fun for me. Making doll clothes is fun, too – and reducing the scrap bag by degrees is a good thing. Outfits modeled by Matilda are made from an assortment of patterns available through Carpatina Dolls, from Pixiefair, original vintage patterns for the American Girl series … or from a bit of personal pattern creation from me.
Email me at clyahayes-at-gmail-dot-com, to inquire about any of these items, and I will send an invoice through PayPal. Some outfits are available in other colors than shown here, or in slightly different fabrics. I will send a picture of what is available, specifically.
